What are the components of tower equipment?

The components of tower equipment are generally the same, except for a wide variety of internal components. It mainly includes the following parts:

1. Tower body

The tower body is the outer shell of the tower equipment. The common tower body is composed of cylinders with equal diameter and wall thickness, and elliptical heads as head and bottom covers.

Including cylinder, end cover (mainly elliptical head), and connecting flange. In addition to considering operating pressure (internal or external pressure) and temperature, wind load, seismic load, eccentric load, as well as strength, stiffness, stability and other requirements during pressure testing, transportation and lifting, should be considered.

The tower body is composed of several tower sections, which are equipped with trays and connected by flanges between the tower sections.

2. Internal tray

The internal components of the tower mainly include tower plates, fillers, and supporting devices.

(1) Fixed distance tube tray

Support and fix several trays within the same tower section on the supports inside the tower section using distance pipes and pull rods. The distance pipes serve to support the trays and maintain tray spacing.

The gap between the tray and the tower body is sealed with soft packing and pressed tightly with a pressure ring, as shown in the figure. The height increases with the tower diameter.

(2) Overlapping tray

There is a set of supports welded to the lower part of the tower section, and the bottom tray is supported on the supports. The upper tray is sequentially installed, and the spacing between the trays is ensured by the pillars below. Three adjustment screws can be used to adjust the level of the trays.

The gap between the tray and the tower wall is also sealed with soft packing and pressed tightly with a pressure ring.

Block tray

The diameter is relatively large, making it easy for manufacturing, installation, and maintenance. It is fed into the tower through a manhole and welded to the support components of the tower tray on the inner wall of the tower body. Welded integral cylinder, without dividing tower sections.
